I had 7 interviews and 7 rejections. Although I have many years experience, up on the latest practices,and do well at my current support position, I can not get past the interview. If I do well, the job ends up going to an inhouse candidate. Sometimes just before school begins there are openings. We are diamonds in the rough. Keep trying.
