rejections

I too am getting very discouraged. I've had 6 interviews and 5 rejections....expecting the 6th soon. However, you have to remember that, some schools have to interview a certain number of applicants even though they already know who they are hiring. One of my profs referred to this as the "done deal." Also, many schools hire right up until September and that is when many first year teachers get hired. It's really hard to get those rejections and not take them personally. I know. But keep plugging along, and it doesn't hurt to sign up to substitute just in case.
