Where are you guys at? I know the teacher shortage in our area is pretty severe. Teachers basically have their choice of jobs and incredible career mobility. I personally have been offered a number of jobs, of course not| all have been desirable. If you are willing/able to relocate the career search might be a little easier. I do know that it is not always easy to move and I for one would not have been willing to. Before I started my career search I was making plans to work out of teaching for awhile until I got a job. I was lucky and did not have to...So stay on top of things, prepare well for all | |
interviews, take extra copies of your resume and letters of recommendations, and send a thank you letter out after the interview. I know it sounds silly, but it does remind the interviewer of your name. Good luck all and don't give up, the jobs are out there.
