Eastern KY politics

Welcome to the education field! School systems are political in general. Being from Eastern KY I beg to differ on several of your statements. It is not true that MOSt parents dropped out of school at the age of 16, neither| is it true that we have a lack of technology. Matter of fact, one school from Eastern KY was just named best wired technology school in the United States! And low academic standards? Have you ever looked at a CATS test? 5th graders are completing geometery task that the majority of us didn't do until highschool. 4th graders must have a true knowledge of science in order to score proficient. | |
All schools are expected to score proficient by 2014! So be realistic. You have entered the education field. Its almost all political. And here's a news flash for you... not only is it political to get a job, but political to keep it. So, my advice to you, keep interviewing and make some sociable friends.
