school uniforms

My school has uniforms, and for me they tend to be a pain in the butt. While you don't have the "fashion" issue to deal with, our dress code is so strict, we have other issues. Saying to kids a zillion times a day "tuck in your shirt" gets a bit old--although I do understand the reason behind it. One, it just plain looks better, and two, they can't hide weapons in their overly baggy clothes. But I do wish that the administration gave a little bit more choice. I would not want to be stuck in navy blue and white all the time. Why can't they have the choice between navy OR khaki bottoms, and a couple of different color tops? The kids at my district HATE the uniforms, and I feel like giving them a bit more choice would cut down on some of the uniform related behavior issues that we have.
