now you are scaring me!

I live in the Northeast, Worcester County (hey Boston- I feel your pain), and Elementary teachers in a quote from one district "are a dime a dozen", the competition here is cut throat. And they cry teacher shortage- there is in High School, not Elementary. SO, if you teach at that level, look here your almost guaranteed a job (except Social Studies- sorry)
Now, what is scary, I just went to an interview that I thought went well, and they (the panel of judges)told me the next step was to teach a lesson.
Dog and Pony show? Making me teach a lesson and they have no intention of hiring me? Please give me SOME hope, I spent the last year in a place equal to one very hot and low in altitude- I need hope!
