I teach 2nd and to help motivate our 3rd graders, each day for the week in front of the test, one class adopts a 3rd grade class and creates a poster with good cheers like " Blow the top off of TAKS" and give each kid a blow pop. Or "Roll over the taks" with fruit roll ups. They really look forward to it. We even have a taks parade the Friday before.
