I went to a job fair (No. Illinois) in mid-March. I heard back from one school at the end of april (over a month after the fair) to set up a screening interview (30+ people interviewed individually for 7 openings. Where's
the teacher shortage they told us was out there?) I recently sent letters to all the districts I talked to at the fair stating that I applied elecronically as directed at the fair & if they needed additional info to e-mail me, etc. etc. One principal had her secretary e-mail me back that all the positions were filled already. It was nice of her, but depressed me badly. I've not heard

from any others. I know of a number of new grads that have signed contracts for next year already. In case you can't tell, I'm prety bummed out over the whole thing. Hope you have better luck!
