Job
By Kaitlin

Clip to ScrapBook
On May 9, 2000, I graduated from college with a Bachelor of Arts in Education. I began interviewing for teaching position in March thru April. I received my first teaching position in April. In addition, I owe my successful
job hunt to my college. At my college, I completed a credential file. In my file I had to include the following: resume, letters of recommendation, an essay about my short and long term goals and a list of courses taken in my field of study. After I have completed my file, my college gave me a list of school districts. I viewed the list and set up interviews with various school
districts. The interviews were done on the college grounds.

Also, my college required all student teachers to complete a portfolio. A portfolio is a good way to illustrate and document your teaching style.

Searching for a teaching job is not hard. Utilize the internet for your job search. Many school districts post jobs on the internet and some even allow you to complete a job application on-line. If you find the internet not to your tasting, try going to the School Administration Office and completing an application. Good Luck on your job search.
