Ooh, I like the game stump the teacher, that's one I'll use in my class. I teach a group of gifted 2nd grade students. Every month or so I give my gifted kiddos a choice board that has 8 different challenging activities for them to complete that correlate with what we are learning in reading or in math. I keep these activities for their portfolios also :) Some of the activities are to make a board game based on something we are learning in math or reading, create an ABC book of math term or reading terms, write a sequel to a story that we've read as a class, create a jeopardy game on the computer for math or reading, make a menu to a restaurant and write math problems using your menu, etc. Hope this helps
