I think it would be hard to decorate the whole door as a Mardi Gras float since the float would be the wrong way. However, there are these bulletin board decorations that are different animals driving cars. You could make the door like the "parade route" and then decorate the cars with glitter and beads to make them look like floats. You could even make little masks to go on the animals driving the "floats". Just a thought.
