Since you have been out of teaching for awhile, unless you're in SPED, Science or Math middle or secondary school, you will need to go the extra mile. Portolios are in, and in order to not look dated, you should prepare a little something.

You probably have a lot at your disposal. What are some of planning styles? What worked for you? Maybe, since you have been out and don't have a lot fresh lessons at your disposal, you can be more creative. Create a unit, something you have been working on or thinking about, something fascinating and put together an assessment device and Bloom's Taxonomy of learning.

It will all come back to you! Good luck!
