I don't have a listening center or many books on tape so I'm not able to use Listen to Reading.
I added Book Shopping so my students would have time to choose their Good Fit books. Earlier in the year I would give them time on Mondays to pick their books, but now the children choose when they shop for their books. We made a T chart for Book Shopping. I limit it to 3 children at a time so I don't have too many walking around the room at the same time. It seems to be working well. Children can always choose books first thing in the morning, but some of the buses are often late and those children don't get enough time to shop.
