I agree with starting now. Here in the northeast, there is a huge shortage of teachers and districts have already begun to look. Due to the new teacher retirement laws on our area, there are many people leaving the profession. If you get everything ready and begin sending your packet of infor. out in Early MArch, you are fresh on their minds. Principals have begun to make a list of potentials already. They have even begun going to job and teacher fairs looking for talent.
