Lefties

I subbed in a kindergarten today and one student was having a terrible time cutting. He kept complaining that his back hurt. He was complaining about something most of the morning so I did not know if he was a perpetual complainer or what. Then he got frustrated and quit cutting altogether. He showed me that his scissors would not work. I tried them and realized that he was a lefty using righty scissors. Suddenly I realized his frustration. I helped him cut since there were no lefty scissors that I could find. Sometimes it is amazing that kids don't blow a fuse more often.
