former students
By Carolyn

Clip to ScrapBook
I had a miserable year of teaching fifth grade last year. There was no parent involvement, and the students were known hellions from Kindergarten on up. As I was walking down the hallway this past week, I saw one of those former students who is now in sixth grade room next door. She gave me a big smile said "hello." I later went to the classroom. Her teacher showed me a short letter she had written to me. It said:

Dear Mrs. Blick,

I am writing to tell you what a wonderful teacher you were. You did so much for me last year and I appreciate it. My mother really liked you, too.

Liz

That is one of the things that makes this job worthwhile.
