I know what you mean. I had many of those incidents last year. One that I can remember was that we were reading a story about a boy and a ship. I asked a question that involved the word ship and instead I said sh_t. Of course all my students said aw you said a bad word. I quickly covered by saying its not used in a vulgar way here because I was talking about a ship not poop. They laughed about that one all day. I have to say that I even cracked up at that little slip.
