I just visited this board for the first time. I'm glad I did. I want to add what I love about teaching.

I love when a parent tells me that I have made a difference in the life of their child. I also love knowing that it is true.

I love that I have the ability to make a child's day with one comment.

I love the fact that one day, ONE of my students will be famous and I will feel so proud.

I love the fact that at least 20 students in my class said to me that they wanted to fail third grade so they could have me again, and then begged me to move to fourth grade when they realized that they weren't going to fail!

As much as I visit the other boards and VENT, it's nice to remember the positive side of teaching.
