What I love about teaching... By Jo

Wow, reading all of these posts has bought a lump to my throat! I'd like to add...

* When a child invites me to their birthday party.

* When I read a story in assembly and watch the smiling faces file out, excitedly

talking about the book we've just shared. * When a child's parents write me a card to personally thank me for the difference I've made the their child's life. * When a child presents their work with pride (smudges and all!). * When a child tells me they love me or wishes me a 'happy weekend'. Reading the posts today has reminded me what an amazing job we do. So many of my friends

hate their jobs and envy me for loving mine so much. I moan like crazy sometimes, and regularly work 15 hour days, but I wouldn't - couldn't do any other job..
