PLAYING KICKBALL!

I love playing kickball with my kids, in white jeans no less, and plowing over one of my students while trying to beat him to 1st base and getting my knees grassstained in the process and having my entire class routing me| on and my whole team cheering when I catch a ball and laughing and giggling together the rest of the afternoon because my pants are more of a mess than any of theirs and knowing that it was genuinely fun and wonderful and having them talk about it for days afterwards, and knowing we snuck out and did that instead of science! And having the yearbook advisor come out and take pictures of | |
us having fun for 30 minutes and knowing that next year when those pictures show up in the yearbook, we will all smile again at that wonderful time in one of our days!
