what I love about teaching

Watching a student who could had difficulity doing grade level work in August win first place in a science fair in June, looking back at work samples and being able to see an improvement, being told that you will be missed, the hugs, the funny things that the kids say, but most of all I have to say that what I love the most is seeing the sparkle in the kids eyes when they present you with their "masterpiece" as an end of the year gift--I'm not talking about store bought gifts. I'm talking about those ugly gifts that a million dollars wouldn't touch.
