"poem about teacher"
By Tabitha

Clip to ScrapBook
At the end of the year I had my students fill out an evaluation on me. Most of them said I was a good teacher, liked certain subjects, liked laughing in class, and so on. One comment stood out for me that made me cry. One
student wrote that I loved teaching every student in the class but him.
I had a real hard time with this student doing any work in class or homework, didn't get along with his classmates, wouldn't sit still, didn't really like to do anything. I was at my witts end by the end of the year. I got no support from Mom at all. I even tried to have him retained because he didn't do anything
got mostly F's in all subjects. Of course I was over ruled on that.

I never thought that this boy would ever feel this way. Or that I was portraying my feelings towards him. I have soul searched a lot this summer and vowed to never make any of my students feel like I don't enjoy teaching them or that they aren't wanted in my room. It was a hard thing to see in print when I love teaching so much.
