Teacher Aprreciation
By noreen

Clip to ScrapBook
As some one who sits on both sides on the desk, I have often written letters to my children's teachers regarding a concern, problem etc. but I also take the time to write to a teacher to thank them for a really great art
project, or thank them because they have some how had a wonderful impact on my child. I think it is very easy to send off a note in anger but we often don't take the time to write a note and thank someone for going that extra mile. I received a letter earlier this year from a parent who came on a trip with us and her kind words and understanding of how hard it is so be a teacher and how
she appreciates the little things I do for her son every day was so very meaninful. Often after a crazy, frustrating, why am I doing this job kind of day, I reread the note and understand why I love my job. I ran into one of my older son's teachers who is finally retiring. She is a true gem. She reminded me that she still holds on to the letter I wrote to her l6 years ago. Can you imagine... I guess we don't always get to see the effect we might have on a child but we are definitely part of the foundation that is set for their lifes. Try to make a memory for every child, every day.
