Even big ones are too!

I taught high school for 15 years before switching this year to elementary. But I had a student who I started with when he was in 7th grade,and had him all the way through 12th grade (I taught remedial). He is now 24, and in the Navy, and has never missed calling me or sending me a card on my birthday since he graduated. This year he called me from Puerto Rico! It makes me realize that even though we often do not see the tangible results of our care and love and effort, we DO make a difference in some kids' lives, and that is what we are all about. THOSE are the moments to hang onto!!
