It's always our fault By Grace
|
| Boy Heather you certainly rattled a few cages. I was just thinking that this board had gone very quiet but something was simmering. You get used to being blamed for all the world's ills, but having just completed a week of parent interviews I can tell you that we have far more influence and respect from the children than many of the parents do. So I reckon that to get this respect you have to earn it. If the kids are giving us respect we must be doing something right. The grown ups, the media etc are looking for someone to blame. You just have to accept that you will not be appreciated by everyone, but when children return to see you in years to come and they remember things you have taught them and have done well in some measure because of you, then you know why some of us stick with it for so long.
