No Regrets

I am 47 years old and in my second year of teaching. I, too, stayed home with my children (4) and went back to school evenings. It took a lot of hard work, but I still have to pinch myself at school to believe I really did it. There are definitely days when I wonder why I did it, but not too many. I was hired right after student teaching. I think my life experiences had a major role in getting the job. Having kids, having had a different career, and just knowing so much more about life's ups and downs is a big advantage-or so I've been told. Go for it!
