Clip to ScrapBook
As the last poster suggested, I full realize the salary and experience of the individuals hired for the job of assistant. I feel like I have been most polite, encouraging and supportive of my assistant. When she didn't
show up for work or call in on Monday, I stood up for with the principal. She has several children and needs this job. HOWEVER, I wrote the original post because I needed to vent about my inability to know what to do. I too have taken over grading papers and making copies. She is an assistant. I do not expect her to watch the class or discipline the kids. I expect her to be able to
do the job she was hired for, including cutting paper etc... It may not be a dream job, but it is the job she asked for and accepted. She wants to work and feed her children. I merely wanted suggestions.
