I understand
By Carolyn

Clip to ScrapBook
There are days that those of us who have taught for awhile say to ourselves that this is beginning to seem like the same-old, same-old. We do what we can to pump ourselves up every day. We want to display enthusiasm for teaching and want the same for the kids. However, there are classes of kids which take away that enthusiasm because they are just so nonchalant about learning. I have a "good" class this year, but I really do have to force feed them, and that does dampen my enthusiasm somewhat. Plus there is the intense pressure to have your kids pass the state test. Teach for the test! Teach for the test! Can you hear the chant?

Just wanted you to know that you are not alone.
