I am a lead teacher for a day care and i work with pre-k - schoolage. Most of my children are 4-7 years old. We have jokingly stated to people that we get paid to play. However this work is as important if not more than all other teachers. The best way to "Teach" this age group is through Play. I believe that the word Kindergarten is german for "Child garden". One of the first kindergaten gorups was in germany by a man (forgot name) who thought that kids needed time and space to play with friends (learning is natural in this kind of environment). Please dont let this person get to you. If she says anything again offer to trade with her for a day and see what she says. HA HA HA Amber
