Actually, if this is the first negative comment you have experienced in your 12 years of teaching kindergarten, that's a pretty good record.I've heard negative comments from many sources starting from when I was an Early Childhood major in college. It would make me sooo angry!Kindergarten is such an important grade in establishing all the basic skills ,fundamentals of learning and social aspects. Every grade ,for that matter, is just as important and just as challenging to teach as any other, but sometimes it does seem that whatever grade we happen to teach at the time, must be the toughest!So quite often we don't get the respect that we each truly deserve, even from our own colleagues because each feels that their own situation is the most challenging.
