I'm sorry to hear that others face the same or similar frustrations as I face in the computer room. Our computer aide was hired (I think) to keep the computers running, install software, assist teachers with lessons...
She is a very capable person, but only makes minimum wage, with no benefits, so I want to be careful with what I ask of her.
To add to my frustrations, our report cards will be completed on computers this year. The problem is that not all the classrooms are equipped with computers, and our lab is used most of the day. I am hoping that we can access the report cards from home as I would

much prefer to do them from the comfort of my own home. There are others that feel quite the opposite. Only time will tell, and time is ticking! The end of the marking period is just weeks away. (Oh, yeah... to add insult to injury, we will no longer be using letter grades on our report cards, instead we will be using a rubric. Hasn't anyone heard about gradual change? )
