Definition of 'Gifted' By Amy

I was tested in elementary school for the gifted and talented program but alas, was found to be not gifted and talented, but deprived and mediocre. I now teach elementary school and have formed my own defifnition of 'gifted and talented':
able to test well, likely having a home environment that supports learning. Also likely to have parents who read to them.
