tough situation
By Julianne

Clip to ScrapBook
It's a tough situation coming across a student like this your first year. Is there a more experienced teacher in the building with whom you could confer? There may be programs and possibilities you haven't uncovered. If
not, you'll have to move on. I agree that your 22 others deserve plenty of attention and help. Regardless of his troubles he's only 1/23rd of your load. If Dad is satisfied with his education, maybe you have to be also. I still wouldn't be as picky about his handwriting. Like I said, you have to pick your battles with him. I'd be more concerned with his overall attitude toward school.
If nothing he turns in is "good enough" he's sure to stop trying at all. Since this seems to be an issue, why not try letting it go and see what happens. You can always go back to pushing neatness if his attitude doesn't improve.
