An objective for my 5th grade is to know what freedoms are protected in the 1st amendment. I made 4 groups and gave each group one of the 4 rights. We read a few resources about it, and then they brainstormed what people can do with the freedoms. They made a poster that said "Because of the the 1st Amendment, we have the freedom of ___. That means we can..." and then drew or pasted pictures of people enjoying that amendment with captions. For freedom of assembly the group had pictures of the March on Washington and a protest rally that was in the newspaper. Then they presented the posters to each other.
