Spelling Frustrations

Hmmm... I kind of like the idea of regular and challenge words. I think if I was grading I would go with getting the score out of 10 and then giving bonus points for the challenge.Doing it the other way might even discourage the higher level kids from attempting the harder words. Might just do minimum expectations rather than taking the risk. Also it would be encouraging to all the children to try to earn points. Keep us updated on your adjustment to the new programs.How are you working in the GT units ? Also are you teaching all of the "themes" in order?
