Still Frustrated

Hi again! When I attended the Phonics "training session", the representative from the phonics program told us she wouldn't advise us to use the words in the phonics lessons for spelling lists which is why I went with the reading series words. But we didn't really come up with a general decision as a faculty. Anyway since Mon. is the pretest and Fri. the post test I'm using the other 3 days for the phonics lessons.I ended up also giving 2 spelling tests the past 2 weeks. But I would just read off a regular word and then read off a challenge word.Everyone did well with this. Right now I'm just assigning 12 words but plan to increase to 15 and then eventually 20.
