guilt trip
By Cathy-Dee

Clip to ScrapBook
Basically unless you've heard or felt rumblings from your colleagues, don't worry about it. I'm a single teacher and I purposely take on some of the extras because I believe it is important for the teachers with families to have time to spend with them.

If you really feel you should do more, offer to do something every two months. That shouldn't bite into your family time too much and you are still involved with extra-curricular activities. Most of your peers have been in your shoes and I'm sure they do not resent the time you spend with your family. And if they do for some reason, well there's no pleasing everyone. My opinion - you and your family come first.
