tattle tail parents
By Suzane

Clip to ScrapBook
Okay, so get this.... I had an aid in my room last year who had a child in the room and was head of the PTO....she was also best friends with a radical parent of an autistic kiddo whos mother occasionally threatened to sue
the district (the autistic kiddo was in my room also). Oh, it was lots of fun....Now for the good part....the aid/parent would instruct her child to go to the principal and tell on me. One day I asked the kids to tiptoe down the hallway.....believe it or not, I caught some poo-poo from the principal for this....It was sooo political in this school I left it.
The principal would
come to me everytime a parent complained...sometimes over the most petty things. That's called having a principal with no guts to simply placate the parents and be done with it. There's no reason in my opinion to bother teachers with petty matters that can be taken care of simply with a little tact. In my case, I believe my principal 1. Had no guts 2. Was on a power trip and enjoyed the feeling of superiority when confronting the teacher 3. Was afraid of the parents. It happens, I just blow it off and keep teaching. Good Luck
