closed and locked

I've spent too many years teaching in a portable with outside exposure (i.e. for many years no gates and right beside a driveway - ANYone could come up and in your room - and did!) It's just second nature for me now to keep my door closed and locked. I get really agitated though, because I'm VERY careful about keeping my door locked, and the teacher in the adjoining portable (we have a common door) doesn't keep hers locked! I just think it's irresponsible. Our school is single story and stretches down a campus the size of two city blocks from office last portable. Being that far from the office with no one watching our classrooms but us, to me makes us very vulnerable, and leaving doors unlocked is just not sensible. (My vent for the day.. :))
