I have been a member of NCAE for most of my thirty years of teaching. The membership dues have soared. Now many of my coworkers have joined PENCE...but everyone should join something and get your reps on the ball!!!! NC
has made many significant gains in education over the years....let's not lose that by losing the trained, experienced educators. Yup, newbies may be cheaper, but experienced teachers already have the resources and the training to deal with the new programs that you(Raleigh) throw at us every time we turn around....you are going to lose the "newbies" too!!! Unrelentling pressures to produce

scores while our raises are threatened and while school funding is cut (because you (Raleigh) know that some of us will pick up the slack in the classroom out of pocket, because we are so dumb that we actually care about our students!!!
I could go on and on but I think most of you get the gist of my statement, unless you are too busy sipping your cocktails and politicking with our studentws lives (and ours).
