Overbearing Mother
By Mary in MA

Clip to ScrapBook
Holy mackeral!!! No wonder that child is depressed!!!!! With a mother like that boy is at serious risk for a nervous breakdown, for Pete's sake.

Has the guidance staff been involved with this family yet? If not, why not?
If yes, what have they done to intervene on this child's behalf? It seems to me that there need to be some strong interventions taken to preserve this child's mental and emotional health. Even on the outside chance that he really does have the medical issues that the mother claims, his mental health is in serious jeopardy. Why doesn't your principal step in and refuse to allow this
mother past the office door? There is no way that ANY parent should be allowed into a classroom uninvited and unannounced while instruction is taking place. She simply should be politely but firmly shown the door during classtime and told that you will contact her after school. It seems to me that your administrators need to find a backbone and DEAL with this woman once and for all.

Of course this child is depressed. If you had to live with this parent on a daily basis, wouldn't you be?
