What kind of a principal allows this?
By Elise

Clip to ScrapBook
I am shocked that anyone would allow teachers to complain about cross-grade class size! And to cave in at the students' expense?!?

Your situation is a classic example of principals who do not stand up to their staff. Unfortunately, as you wrote, it is your responsibility to touch these young lives. It's not their fault that this decision was made.

Perhaps you can invite the principal in to observe these young "geniuses," and how they are functioning in class.

Good luck. Somehow, we teachers find a way to climb every mountain that's moved in front of us! Maybe that's our problem.
