changes

Clip to ScrapBook
It's been my experience that when a new principal comes on board everyone jockeys for position. People who seemed relatively sane last year are doing things you just can't believe! I don't know what the answer is, but I
know it's common. I think you are very nice to consider doing lunch duty every day. But I wouldn't commit myself until the new principal is actually there and your staff can discuss the problem. You could tell the vice principal that you'll take your rotation, under protest, but you can't be responsible for what the other teachers do. The other changes people are making don't need to
concern you unless, of course, they do concern you specifically. Then I think you need to maintain the status quo until the new administration has a chance to get their feet under them and make what changes seem appropriate. Good luck. A new principal is rarely an easy transition.
