A few years back I worked with a student on the multiplication table. I presented the knowledge of working with 6, 7, 8 and 9 factors first, and she excelled! The 9's are the easiest because every answer added together is a nine, then you can move to the later. It is also easier as the students recognize lower facts 2 x 6 = 12, 3 x 7 = 21, etc. Good Luck!
