Clip to ScrapBook
I taught for 2 years at a DI school in Central Massachusetts. I felt like I was programming robots not teaching kids because of the rigid, scripted lessons. I felt that it did not allow for children to express themselves creatively AT ALL. I used DI for 5th graders. It was awful. However, I have seen it work wonders for Kinder. and first grade though. It forces them to learn to read at a rapid pace. The only thing is they lacked in comprehension skills.
