First of all not all of us on this board teach in the States. So don't lump all teachers under your umbrella of hate for the NEA. Next not all of us whine or complain about things in our schools. My school is pretty terrific,
I work with great colleagues. Our Superintendant works hard at keeping our division current and on top of new trends. And I do not simply "endure" my job.
I do make descent wages, my working conditions are quite nice and I'm better off that I was before I went into teaching. And I don't believe I'm a hero and I do except descent working conditions. I do not put up with everything

in my job. However to just sit and put down teachers because JACKO couldn't handle the teaching profession is a cop-out.

And I do wonder if Jacko, yourself and others who post under some pretty generic names are one and same person, or even 2 or 3 who have jumped on this board and others like Teacher's net just to stir things up. We had others earlier this year that loved to stir things up. Perhaps those of us who are professionals on this board should simply START TO IGNORE these types of posts. I'm sure no responses will begin to bore those like Jacko and they will find somewhere else to go.
