UNIONS IN NAME ONLY!!!

There are some states where it is actually ILLEGAL to go on strike, as the original poster suggests that we do. I live in a northern state, but have a friend who teaches in the South. The unions seem to be there in name only. Teachers don't go on strike for better benefits and salary, and it shows. They get the same amount of respect as anyone else in the country, but have to complain about their salaries while nothing is done about them. My friend teaches in North Carolina where they are talking about no increases for two years! Now if it was here in the North where they were trying that, it just wouldn't "fly!"
