chorus/band
By Carolyn

Clip to ScrapBook
I once worked in a school where they solved the problem of such absences by having a rotating schedule, so that the students didn't miss the same subject areas every time. For me, it's not just chorus or band that can interrupt the learning, it's also the gifted class (each Monday), parents pulling their kids out early (this happens to me almost, if not every, Friday afternoon when I am giving a test), small-group guidance counseling pull-outs, and so on. It's difficult to help keep these kids up with the work, but I try to get them caught up when they come back to class.
