Competition vs Cooperation

That's the real problem -- It does get in the way of partnerships if partners are afraid to share with partners because they need to too their own horns. Competition does get in the way of teamwork when one team member shares everything only to discover that another team member has withheld ideas in order to toot his/her own horn. Partnerships and teamwork are built on foundations of trust and cooperation -- not on secrecy, sneakiness, or deceit.
