I agree with all that has been shared about the competitive nature of our work. I have even been guilty of it at on time or another. What I think it boils down to is that our profession gets little recognition in the public sector. Therefore, I think many of us strive for some form of recogniton thru our ideas, bulletin boards, etc. As teachers we just don't get those compliments and thank yous as often as we'd like. Sometimes we just have to toot our own horn. ....and that's o.k. if it isn't getting in the way of teamwork and partnerships.
